Andre Ricardo was born on a rare dark and stormy night in Oceanside, CA, which only seemed to lead to his desire to get the hell out of the hot and dry landscape of Southern California. At 17, he escaped to Colorado Springs to attend Colorado College and enjoy the Block Plan, Downtown Springs restaurants, and constant wrestling seasons. When not making snow angels, Andre was dreaming up etheric beings for his novels, leading his writing group, playing the violin in the CC orchestra, and getting in no doubt way too much action on Stellaris and Minecraft. He still made the Dean’s List and graduated in May 2024 with an English Creative Writing degree. He wrote a novella, Chronophobia, for his senior project and is now back home in So Cal polishing it for publishing. Andre loves to travel and recently returned from his graduation trip to Switzerland and France. He visited Guedelon Castle in France for some high fantasy book research. It’s an experimental archaeology project aimed at recreating a 13th-century castle.
